Little bit of research

Hello one and all,

I am a CSM that is taking over a large chunk of sales support business to add to the consumer CS team workload I already look after. We recently launched a wholesale online ordering facility and wanted to maybe use this as a lever to confirm the need for more staff numbers/money.

I remember a long time ago reports of companies that had confirmed the cost of handling an electronic order vs the cost of handling an order via humans (something like 10 cents vs $3).

Can anyone recall such a fact? I would love it to be true (and not marketing flannel) as this 'cost saving' can be pushed back into the team for resource strengthening, incentives, etc)

Many thanks,

OTT

Hi OTT,

I never head of 10 cents vs $3, but in my experience we cut costs by about 60% when automating some of our order process.

Cheers
G.
