Hi everyone! I'm a security manager in a major gaming and hospitality corporation. I joined these forums in an effort to improve my customer service skills and share those improvements with my co-workers and subordinates.
I find that often security departments lack proper customer service training and development. Balancing protection of customers, employees, and assets with excellent service can be a bit of a tough pill for those within the industry to swallow, although I have seen a marked improvement over the last decade or so.
The very nature of security tends to attract persons who may be a bit "rough" around the edges. Therefore, it is my intent to train present and future personnel in our security departments to be much more "customer-centric" and display an open and friendly attitude without compromising any level of safety.
I look forward to reading what others have to say on these forums, as well as contributing as much as I can to the discussions!
