Employees support local Prince’s Trust initiative.
Employees from Fusion Contact Center Services, part of the BGL Group, have been busy volunteering and working with local young people, helping to prepare them for the working world.
As part of BGL’s charity strategy to help reduce poverty and create prosperity, Fusion employees have been working with the Prince’s Trust to run a series of CV writing and interview skills workshops.
The workshops focus on helping to increase employability through CV, interview and self-awareness skills. So far, over 20 employees have volunteered their time.
Mark Brannen, Head of Site for Fusion Sunderland, said:
“Fusion employees are passionate about supporting the local community, especially when the focus is on helping young people. Over the past six months we have significantly grown our relationship with the Prince’s Trust and our employees are getting involved in extremely worthwhile activities.”
He added:
“Every Fusion employee is entitled to one day’s paid leave for volunteering and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.”
The partnership with the Prince’s Trust forms part of the BGL Group’s five year CSR strategy to donate £3 million to worthwhile causes by 2017, To date, the BGL Group has donated more than £800,000 in support of worthwhile causes.
