Firstsource Solutions has announced details of its recruitment open day for 300 new full-time jobs in Cardiff, UK.
The roles will be based at the Firstsource Solutions centre in Cardiff Bay in the UK and are as a result of the award-winning firm expanding the customer management services it currently provides to global telecommunications and media company Sky.
The roles, unveiled in a new jobs announcement by the company last month, include sales and customer experience advisors, dealing with inbound and outbound telephone calls.
Kathryn Chivers, Firstsource Solutions Vice President – Sales, said:
“We had a great response when we announced in April that we were creating these 300 new jobs in Cardiff. It generated a lot of interest and excitement, being seen as both good for our expanding business and the local economy, and it is great to now be at the stage where we can hold our recruitment open day.
“It gives potential applicants the chance to see what the working environment and the people are like, while learning about the kind of roles that are available. This is a very effective way for the company and the applicants to see if they are a good fit for each other.
“It’s also been great to have the backing of the Welsh Government and Cardiff Council who have provided support around this initiative.”
Firstsource Solutions already employ over 800 staff at its Cardiff centre, which was recently recognised as the leader in its field at the Welsh Contact Centre industry awards.
The company has said the roles include workplace benefits, regular training and development opportunities and that while contact centre experience is desirable, it is not essential, as the jobs will appeal to people across a broad range of ages and skillsets. There are also attractive on-target earnings, a good bonus structure and benefits package available.
The open day is at Firstsource Solutions, Discovery House, Scott Harbour, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff CF10 4PJ from 1pm to 7pm on Monday 18 May, 2015 and potential candidates are advised to register their interest in attending by phoning 078801 57652. Applicants can also apply online .
