Salesforce Unveils AIforce Bringing Full Platform Power to Any Interface

At its annual Dreamforce conference, Salesforce has announced AIforce, an interface layer designed to extend the platform’s data, logic, and workflows directly into third-party environments and agentic AI tools.

The launch reflects an ongoing shift away from static software layouts toward dynamic, composable workspaces. Traditionally, accessing enterprise CRM data required navigating Salesforce’s dedicated user interface. With AIforce, users and autonomous agents can query records, trigger automation, and build on-the-fly custom views within tools such as Anthropic’s Claude, Slack, or Salesforce Lightning.

Addressing the announcement, Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, said:

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, Salesforce“AI is creating an interface revolution. We are combining model intelligence with all the context that customers have built into Salesforce to create an intelligent, dynamic, composable system that is securely governed, built with Zero Data Retention, and designed to work with the core systems that already run your business.”

Architectural Integration and Capabilities

Salesforce framed AIforce as an additional tier within its broader enterprise architecture, connecting to existing foundational layers:

  • The trusted, unified context of Data 360 — bringing together harmonized and federated data, metadata, and memory so every agent understands the customer and the business
  • The application and semantic intelligence of Customer 360 — giving agents the business logic, processes, permissions, and actions they need to get work done across sales, service, marketing, commerce, and more
  • Agentforce, a digital workforce with a deep understanding of your business, function, and industry, with ready-to-deploy agents and a builder for making your own
  • And now, AIforce, bringing that entire foundation to any AI interface

According to the vendor, the interface framework functions under existing permissions and governance protocols to ensure models only expose data the querying user is authorized to see:

  • Intelligent and dynamic: Agents can reason across all the data, logic, and conversations in Salesforce at once, surfacing insights instead of records to sort through.
  • Secure and governed: Because every request runs on existing permissions and business rules, every agent sees only what the person asking can see, and every action routes back through Salesforce.
  • Composable: Anyone can build an interface, agent, or view, built on trusted data and business logic, simply by describing it — with MCPs, APIs, plug-ins, and skills for teams that want to go further.
  • With Zero Data Retention: Business data is used to answer the question at hand and is not retained by the model provider.
  • Work with what you have: No new permissions model, no migration, no custom integration work. Admins connect once and teams get access on day one.

Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker

AIforce is rolling out across three primary solutions: Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker.

Claudeforce

Claudeforce integrates Salesforce data directly into Anthropic’s Claude interface via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server:

  • Claudeforce extends the partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, bringing the #1 AI and the #1 CRM together to create trusted enterprise intelligence.
  • Claudeforce launches with Salesforce in Claude, packing all of the intelligence that lives inside Salesforce into a prebuilt MCP server directly inside Claude, without all the friction of manual setup, complex authentication, and custom skill-mapping that such integrations usually require.
  • Salesforce in Claude includes 37 prebuilt sales skills that cover everything from prospecting to pipeline hygiene so reps get instant value on day one.
  • In the near future, Salesforce in Claude will also include analytics with Tableau as well as skills for service, marketing, commerce, and industries.
  • For builders, the Salesforce Development plug-in for Claude Code brings more than 40 skills, access to Salesforce’s broader skills library on GitHub, and specialized sub-plug-ins that load dynamically and can take on development tasks for you.
  • Salesforce in Claude has been piloted by companies like Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora and is now available to all customers in beta.

Slackforce

Slackforce aims to bring CRM context directly into collaborative team environments:

  • Slack is already where AI works, a multiplayer environment where people, agents, apps, and data all come together to move work forward. Slackforce makes Slack even more powerful, bringing the full context and intelligence of Salesforce into every conversation, workflow, and experience.
  • With Slackforce Surfaces, users can pull relevant live context and data from Salesforce, Slack, and other tools to create an interactive, live interface your whole team can filter, explore, comment on, and act on together, in real time.
  • Slackforce powers Slackbot, an out-of-the-box personal assistant that can reason across all of the conversational context in Slack, as well as all the context, semantic intelligence, and governed action in Salesforce. So Slackbot can surface which accounts are going quiet, understand why by reading the support cases and Slack threads behind them, reassign an owner, create a follow-up task, and draft the win-back email — right from Slack.
  • Slack CRM, also new with Slackforce, connects every Slack conversation, user, and update to Salesforce. Users can spin up a new account inside Salesforce, log notes from a recent call, and update records — all with a simple prompt, right from Slack, without ever opening a separate CRM tool.
  • Coding agents changed how individuals build. Now Slack Code changes how teams build. Slack Code makes AI development a multiplayer activity, giving your team a dedicated place to work with an agent on a specific coding session or project, together, right in Slack. Work happens in the open by default, so context and knowledge carry from person to person and from person to agent. And Slack Code is built for output. What shows up isn’t just messages — it’s working code, prototypes, and documents, built right in Slack.

Regarding the implementation, Elia Wallen, Founder and CEO of Engine, said:

“We handle over 800,000 customer inquiries a year, so getting our people the right context fast is everything. Slackforce makes that possible — instead of waiting on someone else’s time and expertise to turn data into a dashboard or report, anyone on our team can just describe what they need and get a real, working interface back, built from data we already have, without ever leaving the conversation.”

Agentforce Coworker

For users operating inside the native CRM, Salesforce introduced Agentforce Coworker:

  • Agentforce Coworker is an AI teammate right in the Lightning interface — reasoning across accounts, activity, and history, surfacing insights and taking action, all where millions of Salesforce customers already work every day.
  • Because Agentforce Coworker runs inside Salesforce, it operates entirely within your existing permissions and business rules, and nothing is retained outside your trust boundary.
  • Agentforce Coworker calls the specialized Agentforce agents you’ve already built and deployed, so it grows with your agent workforce.
  • Agentforce Coworker is instantly available to Salesforce customers and can be activated with the push of a button — no migration, no new permissions model. One hundred thousand users activated Coworker within its first 35 days.

Highlighting early adoption, Brandon Bernard, Senior Vice President and Sales Technology Strategist at Fulton Bank, noted:

“Agentforce Coworker has been a game-changer for Fulton Bank. In just weeks, we went from zero to more than 20 use cases live in production, supporting approximately 3,000 users across the organization. We’re already seeing substantial daily usage and real examples of how Coworker is helping teammates find information faster, prepare more effectively, and move work forward.”

Headless Toolkit and Partner Ecosystem

The architecture is underpinned by Salesforce’s Headless Toolkit, which exposes platform APIs, plug-ins, and developer tooling. This feeds into the AgentExchange marketplace, connecting integrations from technology providers including Anthropic, AWS, Google, Vercel, DocuSign, and Ramp.

The Impact on Customer Experience

Salesforce’s introduction of AIforce marks a critical step toward eliminating the traditional “swivel-chair” friction that has long plagued contact centers and front-line service teams.

By unbundling CRM data and business logic from rigid user interfaces and embedding it directly into collaboration hubs like Slack and LLMs like Claude, customer service reps no longer have to navigate cumbersome dashboards while simultaneously trying to resolve complex customer issues.

For the broader CX industry, this composable, headless approach represents a fundamental transition from static case management to fluid, context-aware service workflows. Crucially, as autonomous AI agents and human teams increasingly collaborate, providing both with identical, governed access to CRM records and automation triggers will shorten handle times, reduce agent fatigue, and ultimately drive faster, more coherent customer resolutions.
