Segra Expands Unified Communications with Launch of SkyVoice

Fiber network provider Segra has announced the launch of SkyVoice, a unified cloud communications platform designed to consolidate voice, collaboration, and contact center functionalities.

The new offering is built to support hybrid work environments, providing access through integrated desktop and mobile applications for both office-based and remote employees.

The platform enters a crowded market with a focus on streamlining fragmented communication stacks. By bringing disparate tools into a single environment, Segra aims to reduce the friction often associated with switching between various communication and customer service applications.

Justin Brinker, senior vice president of strategic technology solutions at Segra, said:

Justin Brinker, senior vice president of strategic technology solutions, Segra“Businesses are trying to manage more communication channels than ever, but many are still doing it across disconnected systems. SkyVoice brings those functions together in one environment, making it easier to manage voice, collaboration and customer interactions while giving businesses the reliability and visibility they need to operate efficiently.”

A useful feature of the SkyVoice rollout is its native integration capabilities. The platform supports direct connections with several major business and CRM tools, including Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Zendesk, NetSuite, and HubSpot. These integrations are intended to allow organizations to embed communication tools directly into their existing workflows and customer management systems.

Segra is leveraging its own fiber infrastructure to deliver the service. The company indicates that by running SkyVoice over its private fiber network, it can offer the high-bandwidth and low-latency performance required for stable real-time communications.
