SoundHound AI and ACG Partner to Deploy Agentic AI Across Regional Telecom Carriers

SoundHound AI has announced a strategic partnership with the Associated Carrier Group (ACG) to bring agentic AI technology to mobile network operators.

The collaboration aims to modernize customer service and employee experience (EX) for ACG’s membership of regional carriers and resellers.

As the telecommunications sector undergoes a broader AI transformation, the partnership positions SoundHound as the first provider of an agentic AI platform available to ACG members. The initiative is designed to help these operators—who often work within cost-sensitive markets—to manage high call volumes and complex service requests more efficiently.

By deploying intelligent AI agents, carriers can automate routine inquiries across various channels. This shift is intended to reduce customer friction and alleviate the operational burden on support teams, allowing human agents to prioritize more sensitive or high-value interactions.

The system also features automatic speech recognition (ASR) to allow subscribers to interact using natural language.
